The city of Prague is about to off-load a now defunkt series of Trams that, quite frankly, I’d be amazed if anyone had even seen out and about. From what bits of the article I can understand, it has taken the city since 1997, and many millions of Koruna, to finally decide to simply call the whole project a loss and simply get rid of the trams. The series RT6N1 trams were built by Tatra and, whilst a moderate success in a few cities, they never got them working in Prague. Now that Prague has the fabulous Skoda-Porsche 14T trams making a big impact of the city, the four RT6N1 they have are leaving to who knows where.
