Wired seems to have a ‘love affair’ with European transport since they are publishing a lot of articles on European transportation and how good it is. I can understand this based on my experience with US rail transportation, or at least the un-developed nature of it, but they are going quite mad with delight about German transportation. Again, from personal experience, I would add my voice to the adulation of German transport (despite the German people’s insistence that it is, at least, ‘not good’), especially the urban transportation perspective. The national rail system is not as developed as, say, Spain or France, but at least can boast several high-speed lines that criss-cross the country bringing the overal travel times down.
